Hugo Mayer built a new three-manual organ for the Sankt Ludwigkirche in Saarlouis in the years 1981-1985. The organ was renovated in 2011 by the same company. The disposition was modified and expanded, followed by further modifications in 2013 and 2017. At the Hauptwerk, the Cymbel 3 fach has been replaced by a Gamba 8'. The Positiv's Cymbel has been made lower, the base has been changed from 1/2' to 1'. The pedal was expanded with a Double Bass 32' (acoustic) and a Quintbass 10 2/3'.
