The organ in Saint-Emilion is the only organ built by Gabriel Cavaillé-Coll, the son of the famous builder Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, that has been preserved in its entirety. It was inaugurated on 9 July 1893 with a concert by the Baron of Etcheverry. It was modified by Maille in 1922, but was restored to its original state in the years 1993-1995 by Bernard Chevrier. On January 21, 1995, Philippe Lefebvre played the inauguration concert. In 1999 Chevrier moved it inside the church. After this, it was reopened on July 7, 1999 with a concert by Matthieu de Miguel and Silvia Couleru.
