The Grotian organ from Pilsum was built in 1694. It is one of the few organs from around 1700 in the region that was not built by Schnitger. In the years 1770-1772 Dirk Lohman expanded it with a Borstwerk. Gerd Sieben Janssen changed the disposition in 1854. Some years later, more modifications were carried out. The organ was reconstructed by Ahrend in 1991 under the advice of Harald Vogel. Ahrend made new keyboards and bellows, and reconstructed various registers. The Regal 8' of the Borstwerk is of unknown origin.
