The Hervormde Kerk in Overschild was built in 1859. Until 1952 there was an old cabinet organ in this church. The instrument was built in 1791 by Hendrik anthonie Meijer. It was in poor condition when it was replaced in 1952 by an organ by Mense Ruiter. It is possible that the fake facade that is still present in the church was also used for the cabinet organ.
