- On December 18, 1958, a new Reformed Church (Gereformeerde Kerk) on the Dillenburgplein was opened in Slikkerveer. The building was named the "Christus is Koning Kerk" (Christ the King). The organ from the old church on the Willemstraat, built by Pels & Zn. in 1948, was transferred to the new building without changes, but actually turned out to be too small. Arie Verduijn revised it and enlarged it with seven stops. On December 14, 1968, the renewed organ could be officially opened with a play by Bram Sintnicolaas Jr.
- After a final service on February 27, 1994, the church building was demolished and replaced by a residential complex with a small church hall, which was opened on December 3, 1995. After the start of the Protestant Church of the Netherlands (PKN) in 2006, the church building was taken into use as the only Protestant church in Slikkerveer. The Van Vulpen organ from the Dutch Reformed Church "Den Donck" on the Stadhouderslaan was placed in the Christ-is-King church in January 2007.
