The previous Sint Michaelskerk in Westerblokker was closed in 1974. Vermeulen from Alkmaar built a new organ for the new church building. It was dedicated on October 18, 1974 with a concert by the organist of the church, Jos Moeskops, who was also the consultant during the work. The organ from the old church was sold to the Sint Lambertuskerk in Nistelrode.
