1889 L. van Dam & Zonen  new organ
1950 Derk Mulder  maintenance/reparations
1967 Mense Ruiter Orgelmakers  restoration and enlargement

  • The organ of the Gereformeerde Kerk in Ulrum was built by the firm Van Dam in 1889 for the previous church building. After the construction of the current church in 1901 it was transferred. The organ was expanded in 1900 with a Trumpet 8' by Van Dam, donated by H. Bos.
  • Derk Mulder repaired the organ in 1950, but did not modify anything. That did happen in the years 1966/1967, when Mense Ruiter expanded the organ with an second manual ('Nevenwerk') of four stops, and a free pedal. This pedal was installed on an electric unit chest. The original manual was expanded with a new Mixtuur. Finally, Mense Ruiter renewed the keyboard and placed a new bellow. In 2006 the organ case was repainted in the original color scheme.
  • The church is called 'Goede Herderkerk' (Church of the Good Shepherd) since it became part of the PKN (Protestant Church in the Netherlands).
