- Johann Heinrich Hartmann Bätz built the organ in Mijnsheerenland as his first opus for the Église Wallonne in Heusden in the years 1749 and 1750. It had one manual with nine stops and an pulldown pedal. It was a gift from the widow Ganzooijen-Engelbergh. In 1818 the Walloon municipality in Heusden was dissolved. After this, P. Welter installed the organ in the Reformed Church in Geertruidenberg, where church interiors including the organ were destroyed by fire by French soldiers in 1793. It was taken into use on June 28, 1818 (Gert Oost writes: July, 19). The organ served here until 1861. In that year, Vollebregt built a larger organ for the church.
- The old work of Bätz was transferred with a new Trumpet 8' on a reserved slide by Vollebregt to the Reformed Church of Middelharnis. It was still completely unchanged, only the bellows were left behind in Geertruidenberg. On November 3, 1861 it could be used again. Because Johan Gijsbertus Bastiaans found the instrument to be unsuitable for the accompaniment of church singing, they soon decided to order a new organ for Middelharnis, that was built by Maarschalkerweerd. In 1878 Van den Haspel finally placed the Bätz instrument in the church of Mijnsheerenland, where it still stands.
- The still completely original organ, only enlarged with the Trumpet by Vollebregt and new bellows, was soon modified here. The firms Gabry (1905) and Van der Kley (1910) replaced the Quint, the Woudfluit, parts of the Cornet and the Mixture and in 1928 the Trumpet of Vollebregt. In 1965-1967 the instrument was restored by the firm Van Vulpen with Lambert Erné as consultant. It was now enlarged with a chaire organ (rugpositief) and an independent pedal. The organ was taken into use again on March 23, 1967, on which occasion Lambert Erné played the organ.
- At that time it was not yet known who was the builder of the organ. This was only established in 1974 after an archive investigation. In the meantime, it was agreed that the extensions of Van Vulpen were not really in the style of the early work of J.H.H. Bätz. When the rugwerk was found to have subsided in 1997, a new restoration was started. Again the work was performed by Van Vulpen. Jan Jongepier was the consultant this time. A new wind supply was constructed, the intonation of Hoofdwerk (Great Organ) and the pedal organ were revised, and only three stops of the Rugwerk were reused after revoicing. On April 20, 1998 the restored instrument was inaugurated with a concert by Jan Jongepier.
