Bâti par: Hele & Co. (1929)
Demolished (1992)

  • In 1826 a chapel named Bible Christian Chapel was built in Mevagissey. This name is still visible on the facade. The building has been moved to its current location on the corner of River Street and Chapel Square in 1896. The church became a Methodist Church in 1907. In 1929 Hele & Co. built. a pneumatic organ with ten stops.
  • The history of the Methodist Church in Mevagissey shows that the name of the congregation has been changed several times: in 1907 it was River Street United Methodist Church, in 1932 River Street Methodist Church and in 1967 Mevagissey Methodist Church, in connection with the closure of Fore Street Methodist Church. In 1992 the congregation merged with the United Reformed Church, after which this church continued to be used under a new name (Saint Andrew's Church), and the old Methodist church was closed. Houses were subsequently built in the old chapel. The organ has been demolished.
