Saint Mary Abbots Hospital (until 1923 Kensington Infirmary) on Marloes Road in Kensington was built in 1871, to designs by Alfred Williams. The chapel was built in 1875 after a design by A. W. Blomfield. This was dedicated to Saint Elizabeth of Hungary. A pipe organ was constructed for this chapel by Henry Jones. Large parts of the building were lost due to bombing in 1940 and 1944. The chapel was closed in 1972 and has been demolished in 1974. The organ was sold and used in the construction of a new organ at Saint Mary's Church in North Tadley, Hampshire. The hospital itself was permanently closed in 1992. Luxury homes have been built on the site.
