In 2018 Veikko Virtanen built a choir organ for the Johanneskerk in Helsinki. It is designed in nineteenth-century English style. The pipework was supplied by the Shires Organ Pipes company from Leeds, England. The front pipes are painted in the manner characteristic of these organs by Tuija Salin.
