- Douai Abbey Church was built in several stages. The first part was built in the years 1928-1933. Architect was J. Arnold Crush. The first part concerned the choir with the Lady Chapel and two transepts. Rushworth & Dreaper built an organ for the church in 1938 to a design by Harold Darke. When completed, the Choir Organ consisted of four transmissions from Swell. In 1953 the complete Choir Division was placed with eleven registers.
- After the completion of the church in 1987, a new organ was built.
