Franz Seuffert built an organ for the Lutheran church in Edenkoben in 1801-1802. The previous organ, built in 1737 by Augustinus Hartung, had been looted by soldiers in 1794. The new organ had twelve registers and was inaugurated on Palm Sunday, April 11, 1802. In 1818 the church was decommissioned after the merger of the Reformierte and the Lutherische Kirche in the Pfalz into the Protestant Church. The new congregation started using the Simultankirche Sankt Martin. The organ remained in the building until 1833 when it was sold to the Evangelische Kirche in Rheingönheim. It was in use here until 1902, when a new organ was dedicated, built by Walcker.
