Saarijärven Kirkko was built in 1847-1849. The building was designed by C.L. Engelin. In 1961 Kangasala built a three-manual organ with forty registers. Consultant was Alvar Kaihilahti. The organ was inaugurated on December 21, 1961 with a recital by Heikki Seppälä.
