- In 1858 William Hill built a Chamber Organ for Peter Davis in Melbourne. It was the first organ built by Hill for Australia. In 1860 the instrument was sold to Saint Andrew's Church in Brighton, Victoria. In 1923 the organ moved to a church in Stratford, Victoria (possibly Holy Trinity Anglican Church), and it was finally transferred in 1968 to Saint Peters Lutheran Church in Stawell. The organ has been preserved almost entirely in its original condition. However, the pedal keyboard has been replaced by a concave keyboard.
- The organ was restored in 2021-2022 by the company Australian Pipe Organs Pty. The organ has been completely restored to its original state. A new Hill style pedalboard has been installed.
