The previous organ of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glasgow, Montana, was badly damaged in a fire in 1974. The instrument, built as opus 7596 by M.P. Möller in 1948, was dismantled and later rebuilt in Saint Raphaël Roman Catholic Church in Glasgow by Harold B. Curryer. After restoration of the First Lutheran Church, a new organ was built by the Freiburger Orgelbau H. Späth. Advisor was Karl E. Halvorson. The front was designed in collaboration with the church's architect, Robert Lund. The organ was dedicated on the same day as the rebuilt church on January 16, 1977.
