The organ at South Main Baptist Church in Houston was originally built in 1934 by the Kilgen Organ Company. In 1987 some new ranks were added by John T. Fort. Because the organ started to show more and more technical problems, it was decided to have it renewed. In 2016-2017, the Nichols & Simpson company built a new organ, reusing much of Kilgen's material.
