- Christian and Heinrich Wendt built a new organ for the parish church of Sankt Martinus in Hergenrath in 1872. The organ case is older, it could be from the period 1820-1850. The church building was consecrated on July 6, 1867. Maybe the organ case was transfered from the previous building. The instrument has two manuals and 26 stops. It was completely rebuilt in 1958-1959 by Léon Mullender. He installed a new free-standing console, electrificated the transmission and modified the stop list.
- In 1994 there were plans to let a new organ build in the old case, using a lot of the exisiting material. Two stops were removed from the organ (Kornett and Choralbass) and sold for funding the new instrument. The Wendt-Mullender organ has been unplayable since.
