- After a fire in 1903 the Grand Théâtre in Lille was rebuilt as the Opéra de Lille. There were plans to install a pipe organ in the great hall, that would be built by the company Puget & fils. However, dued to the World War, the plans were postponed. The organ was finally inaugurated in the beginning of 1928.
- Today there is no pipe organ anymore in the Opéra. It is not known what has happened to the instrument and when it disappeared.
