  • The Igreja de São Lourenço, close to the cathedral of Porto, was built as a church for the Jesuit college at the end of the 16th century. The church and college buildings have been in use by several groups until in 1860 the Seminário Maior moved to this location. However, the church is only used for special occassions, while a much smaller chapel is in use for regular services. A large part of the buildings are in use for the Museu de Arte Sacra e Arqueologico MASA, and the church can only be accessed via the museum during week days.
  • There are two organs in the church: one with facades on both sides of the choir and one at the northwest corner of the nave. Nothing is known about the choir organ (or organs?). Maybe the prospect are only hiding an empty case, without an actual instrument behind.
