  • Pitt Street Uniting Church in Sydney was built in 1842-1846 as a Congregational Church. John Bibb designed the building. The church was enlarged in the years 1857-1867. Nowadays the church is in use as a Uniting Church. The pipe organ of the church was built in 1910 by Hill & Sons, with three manuals and pneumatic action. It's the fourth organ of the church since 1846. The prepared Vox Humana 8' was installed about 1920 by Charles Richardson.
  • In later years a new concave pedal board has been placed, and the Choir Division was enclosed in a swell box. In 1973 the church was almost demolished, but this was blocked because of the historical importance of the building. Pitchford & Garside worked on the organ in 1974 to get it in a playable state again. They restored the instrument in 1982 under supervising of Kelvin Hastie. Some missing stops were installed in later years (1987, 1994-1996). They were constructed with original Hill pipework as a model.
