Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic is a modern church building in Bonnyrigg Heights, a suburb of Sydney. The church purchased a second hand pipe organ in 2006, that has been dedicated on November 18, 2007 with a concert by Kurt Ison. The organ was built in 1879 by the firm Bevington & Sons from London for the Anglican Church in West Hobart on Tasmania, also dedicated to Saint John the Baptist. The instrument was overhauled by George Fincham in 1903, who relocated the organ in an organ chamber close to the chancel of the church. After closure of the church in West Hobart in 1998, it was sold and rebuilt as a bed and breakfast. The organ stood in the building, now having the name Pendragon Hall, until 2006, when it was sold to Bonnyrigg Heights. It was restored and installed in the church here by the firm Pipe Organ Reconstructions Pty.
