Destroyed by fire (2006)

  • Saint Barnabas' Church in Sydney was built in 1858-1859. The architect who designed the building in a gothic style was Arthur Crux. The Hill organ of the church was built in 1879 in London and erected in the church by William Davidson in 1880. William Stanley played the inauguration concert on December 22, 1880.
  • During it's existance two ranks were added to the organ and an electric blower was placed. The organ remained unchanged since then. On May 10, 2006, the church caught fire and was burned down to the ground. The organ was completely lost. A new and very modern church building has been built on the site. There is no pipe organ in this church, that opened in June 2012.
