- The organ in the Church of Saint Peter in Watsons Bay is an old English Chamber Organ, built in 1796 by Robert and William Gray. They built it for Spencer Perceval (1762 - 1812), Chancellor of the Exchequer and later Prime Minister of Great Britain (from 1809 to 1812). Perceval was murdered on May 11, 1812. His widow Lady Jane Perceval sold the organ in 1817. It stood in the Congregational Church of Wiveliscombe in Somerset from 1829.
- Dr. C.A. Edwards from Sydney, born in Wiveliscombe, bought the organ in 1901, but it was not taken to Sydney until 1915. It was given a place here in the New South Wales State Conservatorium of Music. In 1920 the organ was moved to its current location in Saint Peter's Anglican Church, Watsons Bay. The church building itself was built in 1864 according to a design by Edmund Blacket.
- The organ was restored in 1965 by Roger Pogson. In addition, it has been expanded with an independent pedal with a Bourdon 16' and a pedal coupler. The compass of the manual has been altered, it originally started on contra-G, and has been adjusted to 54 keys (C-f'''). The original Cornet-Sesquialtera had already been replaced by a Gamba 8' at some point in time. Pogson replaced this Gamba with a new Mixture.
