  • In 1980, the Bruno Christensen firm installed a small five-stop organ in Østre Porsgrunn Kirke in connection with the construction of the main organ by the same firm. It is not known whether the small organ remained standing in the church after the completion of the main organ in 1982.
  • Early in the morning on Monday 11 April 2011, the church was destroyed by fire. The church building dated from 1760 and was made entirely of wood.
