  • The Dutch organ maker Gilles Brebos built four organs around 1590 for the monastery church in Escurial, commissioned by King Philips II. Two of these organs were still in the church in 1887, the organ "del coro" and the organ "del prior".
  • In 1956, the organs were rebuilt by the firm Organeria Española in the various cases. In fact there are three seperate organs, which can also be played from one central console.
