  • In 1895, Richard Kreutzbach built a two-manual organ with twenty stops for the auditorium of the newly built Lehrer Seminar (teacher school) in Rochlitz. The instrument was built with pneumatic action and membrane chests. It was placed on the north side of the auditorium.
  • The organ was converted by Julius Jahn in 1914. He replaced the membrane chests with cone chests. The organ has also been expanded to 24 stops. The stoplist mentioned here is after this expansion.
  • From 1922 the building was used as a Deutsche Oberschule. Soldiers were billeted in 1945. During this time, the organ has been largely demolished. Schmeisser bought the remainder in 1949: four stops of the swell, and all the pedal stops. This material was partly used for the construction of an organ in Thum in the Erzgebirge.
