- From 1763 to 1809, the Sint Niklaas Church of Kapelle-op-den-Bos posessed an organ by Guillaume Bouty, donated by Jean-Joseph Hyacinthe van Beurghem. This organ was sold in 1809 to the parish of Sint Vincentius in Evere. In 1872 it was replaced here by a new organ by Merklin. Jan Smets dismantled the organ, but Rogier Joseph Kerkhoff started the installation in the church of Saint Joseph next to the ruins of the Abbaye d'Aulne in Gozée. The work was completed by his son Jean-Emile in collaboration with Jan Smets. In 1875 Jan Vergaert supplied a new bellows.
- The organ was originally placed in the organ gallery. In 1986 the instrument was restored by André Thomas and placed on the church floor. Thomas removed the nineteenth-century registers and created a more homogeneous eighteenth-century character.
- The Église Saint-Joseph was closed for church services around 2015. After renovation, the building was later used for concerts and as a wedding location under the name Naos. The organ was transferred to the Église Notre-Dame-dèl-Vaux in Thuin, where it is placed on the southeast side of the church, on the floor. Jean-Louis Cuisenaire transfered the organ to Thuin in 2016. It was dedicated on the new location in October 2016.
