The Onze Lieve Vrouwkerk in Poelkapelle was built in the years 1923-1925, to replace the previous church from 1824, which was largely destroyed in 1915. The new church was not consecrated until 1930. The organ from 1838, built by Louis Van Houtte, was also lost in 1915. The current organ was built in 1943 by the Loncke company.
