The old church of Onze Lieve Vrouw ten Traan in Kalfort was built in the years 1854-1856 in neo-Romanesque style. The church was a pilgrimage church. An organ was installed by François Bernard Loret. In 1977 the church building was demolished due to dilapidation and replaced by a new church. After the consecration of this new church in 1979, the organ turned out be to high for the ceiling. It is placed, but without the upper part of the front. In the years 2002-2005 the organ was restored by Jean Bruggeman and relocated to the church of Moregem.
