- Due to a renovation of the church building, the old organ of the Sankt Nikolauskirche in Aach was demolished in 2009. Wolfram Stützle was commissioned to build a new instrument. From the previous organ the organ case and a part of the pipes were re-used. The new organ was dedicated on October 11, 2015, and was played by Florian Dold, organist of the church and Georg Koch.
- The previous organ was built in the years 1870-1872 by Eduard Hieber & Sohn. It replaced an organ by Johann Georg Widmer from 1783. This organ had eight stops. Carl Ferdinand Schmalholz was consultant during the construction of the new organ, which he approved on January 8, 1873. It had nine stops and two reserved stops on one manual and pedal. It was built with mechanical action and cone chests.
- In 1892, Wilhelm Schwarz placed a Dolce 8' on the manual on the empty position, which was intended for a Klarinette. In 1905 Schwarz renovated the wind facility. Hieber's organ was converted in 1938 by Otto Mönch and expanded with a second manual as a Schwellwerk. The action was made pneumatic. In 1954 Mönch carried out an overhaul, during which a Cimbel 3 fach was added. The organ now had eighteen stops on two manuals and pedal, including a transmission on the pedal.
