- After the construction of a new parish church in Leuven, dedicated to Saint Joseph, a small organ from the Cavaillé-Coll company from 1871 was purchased for this church. It was probably built as a model organ. Around 1880 it was given a place in the neo-Gothic church.
- The church building was demolished around 1970. The organ was temporarily placed in St. Peter's Church, in a chapel near the choir. After the completion of the new and modern St. Joseph's Church, the organ was placed in this church in a significantly modified form in 1974 and equipped with a new case with a new facade by the Van de Loo company from Leuven. The prospect pipes are not speaking anymore. The nomenclature has been transferred into Dutch. The old console has been preserved in the church.
- Bert DeVijlder carried out a restoration in the years 2010-2011. The Basson 16' has been changed into a Hobo 8'.
