- The Herz-Jesukirche in Mayen was built to a design by Caspar Clemens Pickel in the years 1911-1912. In 1912, the Dasbach organ from 1876 from the Sankt Clemenskirche was installed in the church in a modified form. This instrument was replaced in 1926 by a new organ of the company Stahlhuth with 33 registers.
- On January 2nd, 1945 the building was largely destroyed, including the organ. But the church was rebuilt in the old style in 1952. The Johannes Klais company built a new three-manual organ with 37 stops in 1958-1959. The front was designed in collaboration with the architect Willy Weyres. Consultant for the specification was Paul Schuh. The organ was dedicated on 24 May 1959, after which Wolfgang Oehms played the inaugural concert.
