- In 1897 the company Casavant built a two-manual organ for the french-speaking roman catholic church 'Notre-Dame' in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This church was built in 1895-1897, located 40 Melville Street. The organ is opus 78 of the company.
- The church was closed after a last mass on October 19, 2004, was sold to a private person and in 2006 became the Shire City Sanctuary. The building was sold in 2019 to be converted to the Al Khalil Cultural Centre (Pittsfield Islamic Cultural Center). The organ was sold in 2006. In 2008, the instrument was restored by Czelusniak & Dugal, Inc., and transferred to Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Westfield, MA.
