Elder Hall of the University of Adelaide is a design of Frank John Naish. It was built in the years 1898-1900 and opened on September 26, 1900. A pipe organ was provided by J.E. Dodd, that was dedicated on July 20, 1901. This organ was sold in 1977 to the cathedral of Port Pirie when the hall had to be renovated and refurbished. The new organ has been constructed by the Canadian company Casavant Frères and was inaugurated in 1979.
