  • The Gustav-Adolf-Kirche is the oldest Evangelical Church in Gerresheim. Originally it was only called the Stadtkirche, but when new churches were built in Gerresheim in 1957 (Gnadenkirche) and 1960 (Apostelkirche), the Stadtkirche was renamed to Gustav-Adolf-Kirche. In 2010 both newer churches were closed and later demolished. Since then Gustav-Adolf-Kirche is again the only Evangelical Church in Gerresheim.
  • A new organ of the Gustav-Adolf-Kirche was built by Seifert Orgelbau in 2013-2014. The instrument was dedicated on November 30, 2014, followed by a concert by Evelin Affolderbach. The organ has three manuals, of which the first manual is a coupling manual between the other two. The organ replaced an instrument by Harald Strutz from 1970 with nineteen stops.
