Johann Andreas Schulze bouwde in de jaren 1799-1802 een nieuw orgel voor de Michaeliskirche in Haßleben. Het instrument is in 1840 omgebouwd en uitgebreid door zijn zoon Johann Friedrich. Er werd een derde klavier toegevoegd, dat in een zwelkast is geplaatst, en ook zijn verschillende registers vervangen door meer romantische.
