2014 Gerald Woehl  enlargement

  • The Evangelisch-Lutherische Matthäuskirche in Munich was built in the years 1953-1955. The church building replaced an earlier church building from 1833, which had been demolished in 1938. The new church is at a different location in the city. Under the direction of Friedrich Högner, the Steinmeyer firm built a large organ for this church with 65 stops in the years 1955-1963.
  • In 2013-2014 the Woehl company overhauled the organ and expanded it to 106 stops. The extensions include a Fernwerk, which was also planned in the design, and a choir organ.
