- The company Cavaillé-Coll built a new three-manual organ for the Église Notre-Dame in Saint-Dizier in the years 1860-1862. The instrument was placed in the historic organ case of Jean Richard from 1750 of the previous organ of the church. The organ was dedicated on October 23, 1862 with a concert by Camille Saint-Saëns. It was amended by Cavaillé-Coll on a number of points in 1869: a new Basson and Clarinette on the Positif instead of the Trompete and Cromorne and a swell box around the Positif. The Récit-Positif link was also built in 1869.
- Laurent Plet completed a restoration of the instrument in 1990. André Isoir played the inauguration concert on October 21, 1990.
