- On November 5, 1882, a new church building was dedicated for the Anglican Church of Saint-Sauveur in Lacolle, Québec. The location of the church was Rue de l'Église Nord 7, J0J 1J0 Lacolle. The church building replaced an older church, which was dedicated in 1846. In 1885 a small organ was placed in the church by Casavant Frères. It concerns opus 9, with five stops and an attached pedal. The organ has been preserved without major changes. Over time, only an electric blower has been installed.
- The church building was closed after a final celebration on December 20, 1979. After that, the church was converted into a restaurant called The Old Steeple. The organ remained as a beautiful piece of furniture, but was no longer used. In 1981 the instrument was registered as a historic monument. It was not until the autumn of 2010 that it was removed from the church by Casavant. After a thorough restoration, it could be installed in the chapel of the former monastery Précieux-Sang in Saint-Hyacinthe in 2018. This chapel was built in 1871-1876 and was designed by Victor Bourgeau. The monastery was closed in 2014, but was subsequently bought by the municipality of Saint-Hyacinthe. It has since been used for exhibitions, concerts and small gatherings. The organ was inaugurated in January 2019.
