- Around 1750 a small organ was built for the Bergkirche in Eisenstadt. Several masses by Joseph Haydn were performed for the first time in this church. The organ is called the 'Haydn organ' because Joseph Haydn was involved in its design. The organ turned out to be too small and was replaced by a new instrument in 1797. It was subsequently sold and placed in Kleinhöflein, in the Sankt Vituskirche, around 1800.
- In 1942 the organ was dismantled and stored in Vienna. In 1965 it was transferred to the Landesmuseum in Eisenstadt. It was reconstructed under the advice of Professor Josef Mertin.
- The given specification is from before the demolition of 1942. Both the manual and the pedal had a short octave.
