In the years 1939-1940 the Kuhn company built a new organ for the catholic Sankt Stefanskirche in Amriswil. In 1966 it was rebuilt and modified by the same company. In 2004, the Mathis company carried out an overhaul, during which a new console was installed. In 2012 the organ was expanded by Thomas Gaida, a number of stops were reconstructed to the situation of 1939/1940 and an new electrical installation was carried out, with a large number of Setzer combinations, all possible sub and super octave couplings and a transposer.
