In 1893-1894 a second Protestant church, the Johanniskirche, was built in Würzburg. The Steinmeyer company built a two-manual organ with 27 stops for this church. Church and organ were officially inaugurated on June 24, 1895. The organ was lost in 1945 due to war violence.
