In Plzeň (Pilsen) a new synagogue was built in the years 1888-1893, designed by Emmanuel Klotz. The building was called the 'Neue Tempel' in German. The current name is Velká Synagoga (large synagogue). The company Gebr. Brauner built an organ for the great hall in 1893. The instrument was commissioned on February 2, 1894. Except for the Posaune 16' from the pedal, all reeds were only prepared for upon delivery. A special coupler was the coupling of the major octave of the pedal to the main work. Consultant was Max Halbmayr, who also played the inauguration concert.
