Johann Wilhelm Schöler built his largest organ for the Sankt Annakirche in Herschbach in the years 1772-1774. It was a three-manual organ with 34 registers. On July 3, 1900, lightning struck the church tower, severely damaging the organ. After this, a new organ was built in the old cases by Karl Horn. The new organ is smaller, 26 stops on two manuals and pedal, and has a romantic stop list.
