The Sankt Peter und Paulkirche in Villmar was built in the years 1746-1749 in Baroque style. The building was designed by Thomas Neurohr from Boppard. In 1754-1755 Johann Christian Köhler built an organ for the church. After the instrument was damaged by lightning in 1885, the company Gebr. Keller installed a new organ in the old case in 1885-1886. In 1932 the instrument was modified by Klais. The current organ was built in 1975-1976 by the Klais company.
