In 1987-1988 the company Karl Schuke built a new organ for the Stadtkirche in Schopfheim, which was placed on the altar. The old main organ, built in 1891-1892 by Heinrich Voit, was in a bad condition, but remained on the gallery. A fire broke out in the church a few years later, which damaged the Schuke organ. It was rebuilt by the same firm in 1997-1998.
