- The organ in the Église Saint-Pierre in Tonnerre is attributed to Jehan Gros. It is said to have been built in 1610 and was completed for the church in 1616. Between 1675 and 1679 the organ was rebuilt by Jean Dumont under the supervision of the organist Joseph de Saint-Martin. Eleven new stops were placed, a sign that the organ must have been almost completely renewed. Only the organ case certainly dates from 1610. The organ was preserved in this condition until 1847. Repairs were made by, among others, Louis and Nicolas Lebé in 1707 and by Jean Bernard in 1735. In 1847 the organ was moved within the church from the choir side to the gallert on the west of the nave.
- The disposition has been altered in the following years: in 1854 by Jean-Baptiste Gadault, in 1896 by Charles Anneessens and in 1920 by Reygaert Frères. The Gutschenritter company electrified the action around 1963. The pipework is almost entirely from the nineteenth century.
