- Jean-François Lépine built a new organ for Auxerre Cathedral in 1591. It was a small organ with eight registers. In 1823 the organ was expanded by Charles Gadault with a second keyboard and converted. It now had fourteen stops. In 1840, Nicolas-Antoine Lété expanded the instrument into a three-manual organ with 22 registers. Twelve years later, Pierre-Alexandre Ducroquet expanded it by two more stops.
- Charles Anneessens built a completely new organ for the cathedral of Auxerre at the end of the nineteenth century. The old instrument was sold and transferred to the Église Saint-Pierre in Toucy. Here Pierre Reygaert built a new organ in the old main case in romantic style. The old positive case remained empty in the balustrade. Only the front pipes were preserved. This is the old Montre 4' of Lépine. The new organ had 11 registers.
