- The Herz-Jesu-Kirche in Berlin-Tegel was given a new organ in 1908, built by the firm of Schlag & Söhne. The instrument had twenty stops. The instrument showed many problems, after which a new construction was carried out in 1929 by the Steinmeyer company in the Schlag & Söhne organ case. A lot of pipework was also reused. The new organ had 23 stops.
- In 1965 the organ was restored by the Steinmeyer company. In addition, the sound has been radically altered, through intonation in a more baroque style. Plans for a reconstruction by the Jehmlich firm in the late 1990s could not go ahead because of the high costs.
- On January 23, 2011, a fire broke out in the church. As a result, the organ became unplayable due to soot precipitation. The Fleiter company subsequently carried out a restoration om 2011-2013.
